Fahd: Obliging consumers to purchase limited amounts of subsidized goods is unacceptable

The head of the Syndicate of Supermarket Owners, Nabil Fahd, said that the delay in the arrival of some goods to the stores and supermarkets is due to the interruption in their arrival to Lebanon.

He added that the demand for certain items is surpassing the supply as well.

Fahd said during a television interview: “The main solution for this hindrance is the arrival of the goods imported, which must be available in sufficient quantities.”

He added, “Obliging the consumer to purchase a specific or limited amount of the subsidized goods is unacceptable, and if this happens, citizens can submit a complaint through the hotline.”
