On the sidelines of the meeting held today at the League of Arab States in Cairo on “Water Scarcity: The Challenge of Sustainable Development in the Arab Region”, Minister of Energy and Water Walid Fayad met with FAO Assistant Director and Regional Representative for the Near East and North Africa, Abdel Hakim Rajab Al-Waer.

The meeting dealt with activating and developing cooperation between the Ministry of Energy and Water and the FAO and focused on water-related issues in the agriculture and food security sector, and climate change impacts on the water sector.
