Central Bank of Lebanon
The Ministry of Finance held a virtual meeting on Tuesday via “Zoom”, which brought together representatives from the ministry, the Central Bank, and the auditing consultant firm “Alvarez & Marsal”.
Caretaker Finance Minister Ghazi said that the attendees confirmed their commitment to auditing the accounts of the Central Bank.
The Central Bank has agreed to provide the an updated list of documents and information requested by Alvarez & Marsal for auditing before Friday, April 9. Documents that require further preparation should be delivered maximum before the end of the month.
Attendees also agreed during the meeting to stay in touch in order to reactivate the forensic audit.
