A fire has broke out in a two-story shop for manufacturing shoes and bags in Mar-Elias, Beirut, and Beirut Fire Brigade had extinguished the fire.

Public Relations Department at Beirut Municipality indicated that firefighters were able to control the fire, preventing it from spreading to the residential apartments in the building.

The PR department said that damages were limited to materials only, adding that the firefighters have cooled of the place and secured it to prevent or avoid fire again.
