Fire broke out due to an oil leak in Abde facilities in Akkar

The “National News Agency” in Akkar reported that the fires ignited due to oil leaks from Iraq’s transiting oil pipelines in the Abda-Akkar area, where cane fields are located and near residential areas.

As a result, the firefighting vehicles of the Civil Defense Center in Benin-Al-Abdeh went to the scene.

The Department of Oil Installations in Tripoli has also been notified to send its firefighters equipped with special materials to extinguish the oil fires.

In the region, there is a state of fear that the fire area will expand and reach the main oil leaking hole from the pipeline, which has been long complained of, and all the repair operations that it has repeatedly undergone have not succeeded, because it is dilapidated and worn out and needs to be completely replaced.
