Fires renewed in the forests, orchards and vineyards of the town of Qabeet, in the upper part of Akkar,after it was extinguished at night. Fire trucks, civil defense personnel and volunteers at the Sadaqah Center, the four firefighting teams of the “Akkar Path Association,” and the first responder in the Union of Jurd al-Qayta’ Municipalities headed to the site.

The residents pointed out that “the fires are approaching the houses and exacerbating the great damage to the olive groves and wild pine trees, hoping to speed up the firefighting operations to reduce the risks of the fire spreading to the nearby forests.”
