Employees of both “Alfa” and “Touch” companies continued their comprehensive strike, and for the third consecutive day, customer service work was halted, the stores of the two companies were closed in Beirut and the regions, and the distribution of prepaid lines and cards and all maintenance work on the network in the two companies were halted.
The employees are calling for “the application of the collective work contract and equality between employees in promotions and material incentives.”
The Syndicate of Employees and Users of Companies Operating the Cellular Sector in Lebanon affirmed that “the strike continues until the demands are met,” pointing out that it “is open to dialogue to find solutions that guarantee the payment of dues to all employees, in accordance with the laws in force in the two companies, which ensure that every employee obtains his right.”
