Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Abdallah Bou Habib, on Tuesday received Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Rudakov, who described the meeting as “good” and “cordial.”
The pair reportedly discussed the bilateral ties between the two countries, in addition to the current events between Russia and Ukraine.
In response to a question on Russia’s veto over UN Security Council sanctions on Yemen’s Houthis and the consequences on their allies in Lebanon and Iran, the Russian Ambassador denied there would be any impact. “I do not have information about this matter and I did not discuss it with Minister Bou Habib, said the diplomat.
