Foreign Ministry statement regarding stranded Lebanese in Sudan

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates isuued the following statement:

“Due to the inability of a limited number of Lebanese to join the evacuation convoy from Khartoum, that was organized on Sunday morning, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announces that it will exceptionally and only once, work to evacuate the remaining Lebanese, if the field conditions allow, either Tuesday, April 25, 2023, or Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the latest. It should be noted that the final date for this planned trip is related to the possibility of securing a transport bus, the security situation in the field, and the safety of the road.

Lebanese wishing to leave should be present before this date at the Rotana Hotel in Khartoum, where the convoy will depart, taking into consideration that field conditions may not allow for assistance in organizing another evacuation operation, after the completion of the second one that is planned to be implemented.”
