The situation in Lebanon, and how to support the Lebanese people, were discussed between France and Saudi Arabia.
An agreement was reached between the French and Saudi foreign ministers, Jean-Yves Le Drian and Faisal bin Farhan, to finance initial humanitarian projects to help the Lebanese people.
According to Al-Arabiya channel, the Saudi-French support will contribute to funding organizations to distribute infant formula and food in Lebanon, supporting some educational facilities in Lebanon, and offering direct assistance to hospitals and care centers. The support will be in the form of charitable and humanitarian projects.
Al Arabiya indicated that Saudi Arabia is donating $36 million to Lebanon through the King Salman Relief Center.
The two ministers also reviewed relations between the two countries, the situation and developments in Yemen, and discussed Iran’s nuclear file and its prevention from developing a nuclear weapon.
