A member of the Syndicate of Hydrocarbon Owners, George Al-Barraks, indicated that “international oil prices and the internal exchange rate affect the schedule for setting fuel prices in Lebanon, and on Friday a new price-setting schedule will be issued, and the path in the future will witness an increase in prices.”

He added, in a television interview, that “the price of a tank of gasoline rises with the rise in the exchange rate of the dollar, and in Lebanon the dollar is “flying” based on platforms.”

It is reported that Al-Barraks pointed out in a previous statement that “the rise in the exchange rate of the dollar, which touched 27,000 pounds, is the main reason for the rise in fuel prices.
