Army units deployed in the Bekaa and North regions have foiled a fuel smuggling operation and have arrested 5 citizens and 7 Syrians on April 29 and 30, 2021, who were driving a pick-up and a van carrying about 7,500 liters of gasoline and 300 liters of diesel, according to a statement issued by Army Command – Directorate of Orientation.

The army confirmed that the seizures were referred, and the Competent Judiciary has launched an investigation with the detainees.
