The Representative of Fuel Distributors, Fadi Abou Shakra, affirmed that “allegations regarding the removal of fuel subsidies have led to a rush to fuel stations. Thus, the crisis has happened due to the fact that some stations didn’t have enough stock.

“We will be contacting companies to ensure fuels in the markets as soon as possible to get out of this crisis. We urge the banks to facilitate the process of unloading the cargo from the ships to deliver the market. The economic situation in the country remains unstable and citizens don’t trust officials anymore. We are doing our best to endure such a crisis,” Abou Shakra explained.
