Gas stations witness queues of cars amid shortage in supply

Gas stations across several regions witnessed crowded queues of cars to fill in gasoline.

This is mainly due to the shortage in supply, as some suppliers are storing gasoline, and gas stations are not receiving the required quantities.

Some quantities of gasoline are being smuggled. This is worsening the situation especially that several roads have been blocked to traffic.

In parallel, some station owners indicate that the price of gasoline could increase tomorrow, Wednesday, at a rate ranging between 1,000 and 1,800 LBP. They said that the commission given to the stations is not fixed and subject to favoritism.
