Samir Geagea, the head of the Lebanese Forces, emphasized the need to elect a “legitimate” president of the republic in order to save the nation.
Geagea addressed a party gathering in the Bcharre hamlet of Hadath El Jebbeh that “any rescue plan must begin with a proper president of the republic.”
Addressing the opposition forces, Geagea said: “People did not elect us to deliver statements, but to change their livelihood situation.”
“There are certain actions that we must take, especially that we are ahead of the presidential juncture,” he added.
“Everybody can see what is happening today in Baabda Palace and the results we have reached; if we want to change these results, we need a president who is the opposite of the current (president),” he said.
