“Two shipments of Captagon were seized by the Egyptian authorities today on board two flights coming from Beirut to Cairo International Airport, and prior to that shipments were seized in the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Greece and others .. which definitely indicates that Lebanon has turned into a big factory for Captagon,” said Head of the Lebanese Forces party, Samir Geagea.

He added: “Everyone knows that facing the Captagon dilemma is not by taking formal measures at some crossings, but by going directly to the factories manufacturing this substance and immediately stopping them from work and referring all responsible and the parties behind them to justice, as well as closing the illegal crossings that It constitutes an essential conduit for its smuggling, so, are there any officials listening and acting, especially after the name of Lebanon and with it the name of every Lebanese citizen is undermined before all the countries of the world?”

He concluded: “History will not have mercy to these officials’ betrayals, conspiracy, negligence, or turning a blind eye to the misdeeds that are taking place on Lebanese teritorries or on its behalf. Just as the Lebanese will not have mercy on them and they will be on the lookout for them in the parliamentary elections, to deprive them of all confidence, and to make the required change to get Lebanon out of Captagon Hell, to the paradise of Cedars, incense, and the good reputation with which Lebanon was known.”
