Head of the Lebanese Forces, Samir Geagea, tweeted in response to Ibrahim Amin al-Sayed, head of the Political Council of Hezbollah, without naming him. “It would have been more correct to say that it is a war of political liberation.”
Geagea continued: “Because they want our weapons and our resistance, so that the word in our country, is for Israel and America. It is more correct to say: because they want a legitimate weapon and a state, so that the word in our country is for the Lebanese.”
It is worth to mention that al-Sayed talked about the issue of elections by saying: “The upcoming parliamentary elections are like a July political war, because they want our weapons, our resistance and our society so that the word in our country is for Israel and America.”
He added: “The Americans, the Israelis, and the Europeans want arms, resistance and society, to bring a parliament that can elect a president of the republic who will form a government that can do whatever they want.”
He pointed out that “the electoral money has started according to the price of each person, between fifty and one hundred dollars,” stressing that “the level of honor, pride and dignity in our society, is much higher, that no one can offend him this way.”
