The head of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea, explained that it appears from the first stage of administering vaccines in Lebanon that if the matter continues to be confined to the Ministry of Health alone, it will take at least more than a year and a half in order to reach the required social immunity , at a time when where we can no longer tolerate more casualties, more injuries, more economic collapse, and when we urgently need to move our economy back from where it is today.

He added “The Ministry of Health must , without any delay , allow the private sector to import vaccines according to the scientific conditions of issued by the Ministry, because without the participation of the private sector we are at risk of losing more families and loved ones by exposing the Lebanese to more casualties, and we will suffer from more economical loss.

He asked President Michel Aoun and Caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab to give instructions to the Ministry of Health immediately in order not to obstruct the private sector and to allow it without any delay in importing vaccines from abroad .
