Head of the “Lebanese Forces”, Samir Geagea, tweeted:
“I, as the head of a legitimate Lebanese party, under the law. But for justice to be upright, the judiciary must deal with all parties in the country on the basis that they are all are under the law.
Geagea added: “It appears that the main party in the events of Ain al-Remmaneh considers itself above the law, and unfortunately the military judiciary is keeping up with it so far, in this belief.”
In a related context, the Public Prosecutor of Cassation, Judge Ghassan Oweidat, decided to suspend the decision of the government commissioner to the military court, Judge Fadi Akiki, to summon the leader of the Forces Party, Samir Geagea, for a period of three days.
