Head of the “Lebanese Forces” party, Samir Geagea, issued the following statement:

To the Prime Minister: Now that the government has gained confidence, it has become obliged to quickly start to solve the Lebanese issues, especially, apples and grapes seasons.

With a simple act, the government can save thousands of Lebanese families by buying apples and grapes seasons and sending them to Iraq within the framework of the recent agreement between Iraq and Lebanon that Lebanon imports Iraqi oil in exchange for Lebanese services and goods.

The government is required to prepare and discuss this idea, with the Iraqi side, and come out as soon as possible, with an agreement, in order to avoid Lebanon losing its most important agricultural season. It is a first and urgent step that cannot wait to save the seasons of apples and grapes, and to avoid more unbearable losses in light of the tragedies that Lebanese are experiencing.”
