Kataeb leader Samy Gemayel said during an interview with MTV that “the face of Lebanon is changing into a model that resembles Iran, Venezuela, and Syria; the Parliament is unproductive, and we need a plan from the opposition that gathers in the face of the system supported by Hezbollah along with the political mafia.”
He said: “We want free and fair elections under international supervision; it is preferable for the MPs to resign to save us time, otherwise we will go to elections on time.”
Gemayel said: “We support going to a conference in Beirut after the elections to reconsider the political system that has proven to be unproductive, but the priority today is to form a government.”
