Owners of private generators said, during a -sit-in- in front of the Ministry of Energy: “Our tanks today are empty, the generators are turned off, and people are living in darkness, the Ministry of Energy is required to review companies to secure diesel for generators, hospitals, and bakeries, through an organized and clear schedule.

They continued: “We appeal to the ministry to cooperate fully with the security forces, to be the one in charge of distributing diesel, and we urge for cooperation between generators ‘committees, so each can be fairly provided with the material.”

Adding  “We demand the Banque du Liban’s  attention to the situation as a whole,  and open new credits in order to secure the electricity so that the summer may pass quietly.”
