Sheikh Abdellatif Derian, the Grand Mufti of Lebanon, called for the completion of the maritime border demarcation process and serious negotiations that defend Lebanon’s and Lebanese interests on Thursday.

He also hoped that “the US mediation will yield a solution that guarantees Lebanon’s right to its natural boundaries recognized in the international conventions.”

The Mufti’s remarks came during his meeting with the Lebanese diaspora in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
