“At this difficult stage, Lebanon needs more than ever a free, independent, and responsible press,” said the French Ambassador to Lebanon, Anne Grillo, via its Twitter account on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day.

She added: “On World Press Freedom Day, all support to the journalists who work every day, in Lebanon and other countries, to strengthen our democracies.”
