A Gulf warning of dangerous situations in 4 Arab countries, Lebanon included.

Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Nayef Al-Hujruf, warned today, Saturday, that the current situation in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen constitutes a clear and direct threat to the region’s security and stability.

Stressing the need for Vienna talks to include Iran’s behavior and not to be restricted to re-launching the nuclear agreement only

In his speech at the Gulf Research Forum, Hujruf  criticized Tehran’s behavior, saying, “The council is one of the most advocates for respecting national sovereignty and non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs, and unfortunately , this is what Iran has not adhered to, in the aim of destabilizing the region, not to mention the Iranian nuclear program. Iran’s ballistic missiles, and its support for militias.”

In a statement issued by the council, Al-Hujruf indicated in his speech that there are new and real challenges facing the Gulf region, stressing the council’s firm stance “to support commitment to international law and the United Nations Charter.”
