Member of the Strong Republic Bloc, MP Antoine Habchi, tweeted the following:

“After communicating with those concerned with locusts issue, the Minister of Agriculture and the Army Command, citizens of Deir El-Ahmar region have reported locust swarms.”

Habchi has also confirmed that the Army will interfere and act, wishing that citizens will report locust swarms to the municipality.
