Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Hajj Al-Hassan, indicated, in an interview, that “the ministry will work to prevent the export of agricultural and other materials in an attempt to prevent the crisis from worsening with the continuation of the war in Ukraine.”

Hajj Hassan stressed that he was “the first supporter of the decision to plant soft wheat in Lebanon to secure daily food for the Lebanese.”

He indicated that “negotiations with the International Monetary Fund are proceeding quickly,” hoping that an agreement will be reached before the upcoming parliamentary elections, to demonstrate to the donors how serious Lebanon is.
