Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Hajj Hassan, met on Sunday with head of the Federation of Trade Unions and Employees in Baalbek-Hermel, Hassan Jaafar, accompanied by a Union delegation, in presence of Amal Movement Official Milad Janbain, and the head and members of the Syndicate of Meat Merchants in Baalbek-Hermel.

The visiting delegation raised with the Agriculture Minister the chaotic and random increase in the prices of meat in Baalbek-Hermel region, without taking into account the difficult living conditions suffered by the citizens.

Minister Hajj Hassan expressed his “understanding of people’s conditions,” and promised “to communicate with those concerned to develop a plan of action, and coordinate between the Ministries of Agriculture and Economy and various municipalities in order to control prices and prevent any exploitation or unjustified increase in prices.”
