Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Ali Hamieh, actively participated in the International Maritime Organization’s General Assembly in London during his visit to Britain.
He led discussions with the Turkish delegation, focusing on enhancing Lebanese-Turkish relations in transportation, particularly in maritime and aviation.
The talks also explored strategies for cooperation in railways, impacting port operations and the broader maritime sector.
Emphasizing the geographical proximity and friendship between Lebanon and Turkey, Hamieh proposed the establishment of a specialized technical committee, with both sides agreeing to reconvene in the coming months to discuss and implement proposed measures.
