Hamiyeh: We won’t allow anyone to hold yhe port of Beirut hostage

The Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ali Hamiyah, indicated that he is “linked to the Lebanese government’s decision regarding the issue of maritime borders, and it implements what the Lebanese government decides.”

Hamiya pointed out in a radio interview, that “in light of the general situation in the country, Beirut International Airport is in need of much improvement and development, and we are ready to go to the other in this field.”With regard to the port of Beirut, he considered that “one of our most important goals today is to activate the port’s work before reconstruction, and the reconstruction has been approached in a scientific manner and a guiding scheme.”

He stressed that “we will not allow anyone to hold the port of Beirut hostage, and we have opened the doors of the ministry to everyone in the interest of Lebanon and the Lebanese.”
