Today, at the Ministry of Culture, a handover ceremony was held between former minister Abbas Murtada and the newly appointed minister, Muhammad Wissam Al-Murtada.
“Culture is Lebanon’s wealth, which necessitates making it at the core of our efforts for the sake of its survival, its advancement, and the restoration of its role,” said the new minister.
“I am determined that Lebanon should regain its position as a cultural beacon and a center for convergence and dialogue among civilizations. I pledge to do everything in my power to support and value the cultural efforts of the Lebanese, whether at home or abroad, while making sure to hold cultural events as best as the current financial situation of our troubled country permits,” he said.
