The Minister of Public Health in the caretaker government, Hamad Hassan, announced that “the drug crisis issue is about to be solved by the end of this week, and we will not allow it to disturb our Covid achievements.

Hasan added: “We confronted this epidemic with a fierce and difficult test, but we knew from the very start that God will lead our way in confronting this epidemic to protect the sacrificial society that gave it all the for the sake of the homeland’s pride.”

He added: “During my meeting with the World Bank delegation, which included managers from the Middle East and North Africa and some senior officials, who  came to praise the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health’s efforts in confronting the epidemic and securing immunity to the society ,  they considered that the first country that the World Bank interacted with, is Lebanon, and the first to sign  an immunization support plan, is Lebanon, because from the very start, we raised the issue of government hospitals’ readiness, while some were afraid of this vague epidemic.

Hassan talked about drugs shortage in the market and said: “What disturbs this achievement or this plan that we have succeeded in, is the issue of medicine drugs. As we were about to feel relieved through containing the epidemic, drugs shortage emerged. Let me say that the Ministry of Public Health is one of the administrative circles to facilitate the delivery of medicine from the manufacturer through importers to the Lebanese citizen, and thus you can’t deny the ministry when winning, and demand its interference when losing , you can’t do that
