Hasan: “Medicine crisis to be resolved, and two exceptional approvals from Aoun.”

Minister of Public Health in the caretaker government, Hamad Hassan, confirmed that “the Ministry of Health obtained an exceptional approval from the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, to launch the process of contracting with specialists in the Turkish hospital, after overcoming all logistical, bureaucratic and administrative obstacles. The hospital was transferred to the owners of the Ministry of Public Health, and work will start soon in order to be ready to serve the citizens.”

Hassan revealed that “President Aoun also signed an exceptional approval regarding the special Kuwaiti donation, which was secured from the Kuwait Fund for Development, to establish two hospitals, one in Akrom, Akkar and the other in Hrebta in the northern Bekaa, in addition to completing the Deir al-Qamar Governmental Hospital.”

Confirming that the medicine crisis is bout to be resolved he said: “We, under the guidance of His Excellency President Aoun, will be on the ground starting next Monday, as there has been transfers and approvals worth nearly $100 million, which requires importing companies to take the initiative and srart  importing Medicine, not create excuses for us to open more emergency permissions.” As fafr as chronic medicines are concerned, he said that Banque du Liban and after decreasing subsidy to 50 million, opened credits and these medicines should be available in a few days.
