Hasan: “Ministry has not been notified by Banque du Liban about support’s financial value.”

Minister of Public Health in the caretaker government, Hamad Hassan, confirmed that “the ministry has not been notified by Banque du Liban about  the support’s financial value , but in accordance with the agreement, it will start stamping all audited drug bills, which are lost from the market, so it  can be subsidies and released directly from drug stores.”

He pointed out in a radio interview that “the Ministry of Health is working on three tracks: coordinating with the Banque du Liban to release subsidies for drug bills, working with importers to ensure distribution procedures from warehouses, and with the Pharmacists Syndicate for a transparent dispensing of medicine to citizens.”

As for the Pfizer Marathon next Saturday and Sunday, Hassan indicated that “the goal is to encourage people to get  vaccinated , and the targets are age groups over 55,” hoping that they will “  register on the platform” so that the process will be smooth and fast, which will include all people with special needs.”

For his part, Director of Medical Care at Ministry of Health, Joseph Helou, revealed in an interview with “Voice of All Lebanon 93.3”, that “The Ministry presented 3 mechanisms for the governance of Banque du Liban related to paying bills’ mechanism , provided that the Central Bank chooses one of them and abide to its promises.”
