Caretaker Minister of Public Health Hamad Hassan affirmed that launching the pharmaceutical card for citizens free of charge and at no cost to the state is an achievement that allows the ministry to track the medicine supply chain from manufacturers across the globe until it reaches the patient while ensuring quality and price.

Hassan said on his Twitter account: “It is considered a statistical digital transformation that simulates the challenges of the desired health security.”

On the other hand, Hassan considered, in a television interview, that “the pharmaceutical card is an achievement.”

Hassan said that the failure in providing this card will lead to the loss of efforts made by the ministry, because it is essential to electronically monitor the medicine supply chain, and the most important is that the card is given free of charge.”

He pointed out that many international agencies and supporting governmental organizations, may invest in donations if this tracking system is found, amid these crises.
