Health minister discussed with the Association of Insurance companies health insurance matters

The Minister of Public Health Firas Abiad received this afternoon a delegation from the Association of Insurance Companies, which included the association’s president, Elie Nasnas, his deputy, Fateh Bakdash, board member Osama Salman, and Secretary-General Jamil Harb, where they discussed the relationship between the ministry and the insurance sector and how to develop this relationship to secure healthcare services for citizens and the insured.

Nasnas said following the meeting: “The meeting was positive, as we discussed health matters and their impact on the insurance sector.”

He added: “The minister confirmed that he is in the process of reconsidering the cost of subsidies provided by the ministry to provide it to the largest segment of citizens amid these difficult circumstances we are going through.” He said that the adoption of modern mechanization methods will facilitate the work of the ministry and the citizen alike.

Nasnas thanked Abiad for understanding the association’s concerns and the possibility of continuing such meetings, which are in the interest of the Lebanese citizen.”
