General Coordinator of the Generators Owners Association, Tony Abu Khalil, explained that “the price of a diesel tank has reached 170,000 pounds in the black market”.

He said, “Only two companies distribute diesel to generator owners.”

Abu Khalil added to Al-Jadeed: “What is required is immediate intervention from all agencies to solve the issue of diesel, especially in terms of stopping smuggling.”

Regarding the generator bill, Abu Khalil announced that “the bill will rise to between 600 and 700 thousand for the 5 ampere, without reaching one million pounds.”
