In an issued statement this afternoon, Hezbollah offered the army command, the people of Akkar region and its villages, and the families of the martyrs who died in the fuel tanker explosion in Akkar’s Al-Tleil town at dawn today, including civilians and soldiers, “its deepest condolences and sympathy, asking the Lord Almighty to have mercy on the martyrs’ souls, to grant their families patience and solace, and to bless the wounded with speedy recoveries.

Hezbollah hoped that “this national tragedy will constitute a strong motive for speeding-up the formation of a government that will be the gateway to extricating the Lebanese from the dangerous crises that are afflicting them.”

It also stressed “the need for the Lebanese to unite, show solidarity and cohesion to cross this ordeal the country is going through.”
