Lebanon’s hospitals on Monday started receiving batches of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccines, the National News Agency reported.

The inoculation process of healthcare workers and staff is scheduled to begin soon, NNA said, adding that the Notre Dame des Secours hospital in Jbeil and Sidon’s Governmental Hospital were the first medical centers to receive the batches.

Lebanon is trying to move forward with the vaccination process after a slow initial roll-out and amid concerns over the efficacy of the vaccine.
