How many Lebanese are holders of identity cards in Lebanon?

How many Lebanese have obtained national identity in Lebanon? In view of the fragile Lebanese structure and the change in numbers with the passage of current crises, no exact number was given in this regard.

According to recent numbers given by Information International, between 2006 and 2020, 1,304,516 individuals were born and 356,475 died, resulting in a 948,000-person rise.

And, as of January 1, 2021, the total number of Lebanese was 5,519,134, with 4.250 million living in Lebanon and 1,270 million living abroad but retaining their Lebanese identity, accounting for 23% خf the population.

According to their sectarian distribution, Information International show that they are divided into the following groups:

-3,697,819 Muslims, or 67% خf the population.

-1.816,115 Christians, or 32.9% of the population

-5200 “Israeli” Jews, or 0.09% of the population.
