Ibrahim: To hold accountable who caused fabricated bread crisis

The resigned head of Bakeries Owners’ Syndicate, Ali Ibrahim, called via a radio interview for holding accountable those who caused the fabricated bread crisis out of a previous conception and determination, so as not to return to the queues again.

The Minister of Economy in the caretaker government, Amin Salam, pointed out, after directing the crisis cell in the ministerial committee concerned with managing the distribution of wheat and flour, to conduct a field survey in all Lebanese regions, that the bread crisis had ended by 90%, and the queues had disappeared.

He thanked all the relevant security services, which work 24 hours a day, for their oversight, fair distribution, and accountability, noting that “I have put the new mechanism to an end to crisis dealers, and the owners of a number of bakeries and mills that violate the decisions of the Ministry of Economy have been arrested, and they are under investigation in the competent judiciary.”
