“Important” developments in “Hezbollah” cell’s case in Kuwait

An informed source told Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Qabas, that “5 new people have been arrested in the case known as the Hezbollah financing cell.”
This brings the total number to 23 defendants, 12 of whom, a decision was issued by the renewal judge to continue their detention, until the 13th of this month, in addition to continuing investigations with the 5 defendants, while keeping them in detention pending the case, as well as waiting for a decision, to renew the detention of other defendants.
The source pointed out that “investigations are continuing with other defendants to specify relationship with the defendants, but the case has been classified as a state security issue,” The new defendants denied all the charges filed against them, stressing that their role is limited to charitable work, and they did not fund Hezbollah, which dealing with is prohibited.
