In a statement, Lebanon’s Syndicate of Pharmaceutical Importers and Warehouse Owners expressed solidarity with the General Labor Union, saying that “in light of the unprecedented and incredibly hard economic, social, and financial conditions we are currently facing, which today significantly impact all sectors and threaten their stability, and given the deteriorating medical condition which has become extremely critical, and which may put citizens’ lives in jeopardy, the Syndicate has shown support for the General Labor Union’s strike.”

“It has become an emergency to establish a government as soon as possible to confront the deteriorating situation, devise an emergency plan, and find swift remedies that save the country and its citizens before it is too late,” the union said.
