The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:

Several motorcycles have been stolen recently from various parts of the Mount Lebanon Governorate.

Following extensive inquiries and investigations, the Internal Security Forces’ Information Division uncovered the identify of the gang’s mastermind, who is known as:

K.A. (born in 1988, of Lebanese nationality)

A patrol of the Division raided his residence in the southern town of Hebbariye on June 22nd, 2021, after rigorous observation and control, and was able to arrest him and seize two stolen bikes.

Following investigations conducted with him, he admitted to have carried out more than 9 motorcycle thefts in collaboration with others from the Southern Suburbs, Aramoun, Bchamoun, and Choueifat, and transporting them to the town of Hebbariye in Hasbaya district, where they were sold in the villages and towns of the region. He also acknowledged to falsifying one of the bikes’ documents and marketing it as lawful.

In conformity with the Competent Judiciary’s indication, he was arrested with the seizures, and procedures have begun to find the other gang members.
