The General Directorate of Personal Status at the Interior Ministry announced in a statement that it “will publish and circulate the preliminary electoral lists. Male and female voters are asked to verify the validity of their data through the General Directorate’s website dgcs.gov.lb. They can also contact the municipality, the clerk, or they can dial 1766. This is in preparation for the upcoming Lebanese parliamentary elections, and according to Election Law No. 44/2017.”

The Ministry pointed out that “in accordance with the amended Article 33 of Law No. 8/2021 in force, male and female citizens can verify the validity of their data between December 15, 2021 and January 1, 2022, in order to vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections.”
