Minister of Education and Higher Education Abbas Halabi clarified that Lebanon is conducting international contacts to address the issue of food security, indicating that the horizon is not blocked.
Halabi pointed out in a radio interview that there is a global recession in exports in many countries for fear of the development of the war in Ukraine and the exacerbation of its repercussions.
Halabi stressed that raising the issue of the megacenter on the eve of closing the door for candidacy would open the door for appeals to the electoral process, and thus overthrowing the electoral entitlement. He ruled out that the megacenter would be completed.
It is noteworthy that despite the assurances expressed by some official and economic levels that the stocks of flour and foodstuffs as well as basic commodities are sufficient for a period of one and a half months, they are, according to economic experts, temporary reassurances.
The situation is frightening, even terrifying, and we would reach to a situation where will be unable to meet the basic necessities such as securing a loaf of bread.
