Iranian Foreign Minister Abdullahian says Iran ready to assist Lebanon in electricity crisis

As part of his Lebanese tour, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the caretaker government, Abdallah Bou Habib.

At the end of the meeting, Bou Habib revealed that Abdallahian “offered us assistance in the electricity sector, and I will convey this offer to my colleagues in the government.”

“I am optimistic that every agreement between the neighboring countries is in the best interest for Lebanon,” he added.

For his part, Abdallahian stressed that “officials in Lebanon, all parties, have the ability and competence necessary to reach an agreement and consensus on electing a president for the republic”.

“Iran has always wished the best for Lebanon, and we encourage all parties in Lebanon to speed up the electoral process,” Abdullahian added.
