Iranian Foreign Ministry: Fuel shipment sent to Lebanon was at Lebanese authorities’ request

The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced on Sunday, that the fuel shipment sent to Lebanon was at the request of the Lebanese authorities.

It is worth noting that on Thursday, the first trucks loaded with Iranian diesel arrived in Lebanon, amid a popular reception set up by Hezbollah in the Bekaa Valley between Al-Ain and Baalbek, during which rice scattered, and the Party anthems were played.

The convoy of trucks that arrived in Lebanon, in two batches, coming from Syria, includes 40 trucks, carrying two million liters of diesel, out of more than 1,300 trucks that will transport the Iranian oil in batches, after the Iranian ships unloaded it at the Baniyas port in Syria, “in order to- quoting Hassan Nasrallah-  it does not cause “problems” to the Lebanese government,  due to the international sanctions imposed on Tehran.”
