The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) issued a clarifying statement saying: “A video has gone viral and being circulated on social media, showing a clash that occurred between a number of people, during which shooting took place. Various messages claimed that it took place in more than one Shopping Center in Lebanon.”

The statement added, “After follow-up, it was found that this clash did not occur in Lebanon, but rather in another country.”

The directorate pleaded citizens “not to publish the news before verifying its authenticity.”
