Israeli reconnaissance planes committed on Sunday, from 2:05 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., three violations to Lebanon’s airspace, including circular flights over southern regions, the National News Agency quoted a statement by the Lebanese army – Orientation Directorate as saying on Monday.
From 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., two airspace breaches committed by Israeli warplanes were reported, including circular flights over various Lebanese areas, the agency added.
Also on Sunday at 6:14 p.m., a gunboat belonging to the Israeli forces violated the Lebanese territorial waters off Ras Naqoura, and infiltrated some 185 meters into the sea for two minutes, a communique by the Lebanese army said.
The above-mentioned violations are being followed up in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
Last Wednesday, Israeli forces carried out excavation works near the sand road they have recently constructed facing the southern Lebanese village of Adaisseh, the NNA reported.
An Israeli infantry force also crossed the technical fence off Wazzani and headed towards the river, where it inspected the scene without breaching the Blue Line, the agency added.
Israeli violations to Lebanon’s border and airspace are commonplace amid total inaction by the Lebanese state in this regard.
Israel claims it has been engaging in such actions in anticipation of any potential attack by Lebanon’s Hezbollah group against its territories.
